Bulls Play Parent Club in Their First AAA Game

Posted Updated

DURHAM — You know spring is here when you hear the crack of the bat. And you'll hear that sound a lot Monday evening as the Durham Bulls and their new parent club, the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, square off in an exhibition baseball game. The Bulls are making the jump from single-A to triple-A. Durham players and coaches also are excited about playing in the newly renovated Durham Bulls Athletic Park.

There are added attractions at the ball park this year, including an area where you can have your own bat made. Vendors also will be serving up more healthy food choices.

First pitch is at 4 p.m. The game is a sellout, but if you don't have tickets, watch WRAL for game highlights and live reports from the ballpark beginning at 5 p.m.
