RALEIGH — Outside of the NC State lockerroom, you'd be hard pressed to find many who thought the Pack would beat the Tigers. State's 82-80 overtime win is a stunning reminder of what a little hard work can accomplish.
The win gets the Pack out of last place and right in the thick of the ACC race for third place. It's a confidence builder and sets the stage for better things down the road, like having another big second half run, making noise in the ACC tournament and possibly finding a spot in the post season.
