NASHVILLE, Tenn. — WRAL News was honored Saturday night at the 20th Annual Midsouth Regional Emmy Award ceremony in Nashville for its post-game coverage of the Tar Heels Final Four win last spring.

The coverage, from St. Louis to Chapel Hill, won over the judges in the Live News category.
WRAL was also honored in three other categories: Community Station Project, for its For The Children campaign; Interactivity, for WRAL.com; and Writer/News for The WRAL Archives.
The Midsouth Regional Emmy Awards recognizes excellence in television in markets in Tennessee, most of North Carolina and Huntsville, Ala. The Nashville/Midsouth Region is one of 19 chapters of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
