NEAR DUNN — Big headaches may be on the horizon for travelers along the East Coast's major north-south interstate.
Beginning Monday,N.C. Dept. of Transportationcrews will shut down Interstate 95 South near Dunn. Detours will take traffic through town, then back onto the interstate.
Last month, a truck with an over-height load struck the bridge, damaging a support beam. Engineers say repairs will take about two weeks.
Once crews finish the Pope Road Bridge, they have to fix the Highway 421 bridge, which was also damaged by a truck.
