FAYETTEVILLE — Fayetteville police have caught the second suspect in the murder of a convenience store clerk. They have also changed their minds about who the killer was.
Jeremiah Brewster was arrested Thursday. Police say he was on his way in for questioning last Wednesday when he ran away.
Police believe he is the man who killed Timothy Potts during a robbery attempt at a Fayetteville Amoco station January 22.
Brewster and another man, Warren Daniels, are charged with robbery and first-degree murder.
Brewster's brother, Jermaine, turned himself in to police following the shooting.
Murder charges against him have been dropped. Jermaine Brewster is now charged with accessory after the fact.
Police do not know why Jermaine Brewster admitted to the crime.
