FAYETTEVILLE — An armed robbery suspect is hospitalized in fair condition, after being shot by the man he was allegedly trying to rob.
The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office says two masked men walked in to Spinner's Pizza Monday and demanded money from the store manager.
They say manager pulled out a gun and shot at the two men. One suspect got away, but Johnathon Rand was hit.
Deputies say the suspect's weapon was actually a toy.
No charges are expected to be filed against the store manager.
