Nail Salon Owner Shot During Robbery

CLEVELAND SPRINGS — The search is on for five men who shot the owner of a nail salon in Johnston County Friday night.
It happened at the Nail Tek near the intersection of Interstate 40 and Highway 42. Deputies say the men entered the man's shop and demanded money. When the owner tried to escape out the back door, he was shot three times with a .45-caliber handgun.
The wounded man ran to a restaurant next door and called for help. He was taken to WakeMed, where his condition is not known.
