FAYETTEVILLE — Dozens of people paid their respects to a fallen state trooper Thursday evening.

State troopers came from all across the state to pay their respects to their fallen friend. Duncan was killed Tuesday when he lost control of his car during a high-speed chase.

"It's sad that it takes a death to wake people up," says state trooper J.B. King.

Trooper Duncan is survived by his wife, Kim, and three children. Wednesday night, his wife held a press conference saying how much Duncan loved his job, his friends and North Carolina.
