Ellis Officially Becomes Fuquay-Varina Mayor

FUQUAY-VARINA — Fuquay-Varina finally named a new mayor on Tuesday.

A judge has rejected an appeal to overturn the November mayoral election.

Former mayor Bob Barker claimed dozens of people voted who should not have, but a court of appeals did not agree.

John Ellis officially took over the mayoral duties. -->
