Woman's Body Found in Fayetteville

FAYETTEVILLE — Police are searching for a suspect in the death of a Hope Mills woman.

Authorities say someone murdered 50-year-old Patricia Lapinske, but they are not sure how she died.

Someone found Lapinskes' badly decomposed body in a wooded area on C street early Saturday morning.

Police believe she had been dead for several days and are awaiting autopsy results.
