RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC — Six Triangle-based companies are the first to be selected to present at the next Council for Entrepreneurial Development's Venture 2006 conference.

The conference will take place on May 2-3 at Pinehurst Resort in Pinehurst.

The six companies, with descriptions provided by the CED, are:

Advanced Liquid Logic (RTP, www.liquid-logic.com): Advanced Liquid Logic is developing patented microfluidic technology for portable lab-on-a-chip systems. This technology offers the opportunity for miniaturizing and automating an enormous array of liquid-based laboratory, medical, and other analyses.

Bright View Technologies (Morrisville, www.brightviewtechnologies.com): Bright View Technologies is a leading developer of innovative, microstructure based, optical films for the global display industry. Bright View is leveraging a unique and proprietary platform technology, X-LAMPS, that enables the creation of highly engineered plastic films with superior light management characteristics.

Broadwick Corporation (Durham, www.broadwick.com): Broadwick is a provider of leading email communications software. Broadwick's flagship product, IntelliContact, allows small businesses and associations to easily create, send, and track permission-based email newsletters, promotions, announcements, and surveys.
