Suspect Arrested In New Year's Eve Homicide

RALEIGH, N.C. — The suspect in the murder of a Raleigh man on New Year's Eve has been arrested in South Carolina.

Charles Timothy Harden, 32, was apprehended by Charleston police Wednesday. Harden has been charged with one count of murder in connection with the death of Charles Maurice White, 27.

White was shot to death on the morning of Dec. 31 in the front yard of a residence on Maple Street.

Authorities have not said when Harden will return to Raleigh to face the murder charge.
