PITTSBORO — A Pittsboro woman was caught in the line of fire during a drive-by shooting Thursday.
Chatham County deputies say a man told them he had not been able to get in touch with his wife who lived in the East Cornwallis area of Pittsboro.
When police went to check on her on Friday, they found Debra Lowe dead of a gunshot wound inside the house.
Police think she may have been hit by a stray bullet. -->
