FOUR OAKS — One person is dead after a driver lost control of a vehicle, sending it through a field and flipping it onto a house in Johnston County.
One of three people inside the car was thrown out and hit the house. Tisha Marie McCauley died at the scene. Emergency crews transported the others to Johnston Memorial Hospital. Their identities and conditions have not been released.
The vehicle was traveling east on Packing Plant Road, near Four Oaks. As it spun through the air, a tree broke the car's fall, and it clipped the corner of the house.
There is no word whether McCauley was the driver or a passenger.
The home was occupied at the time of the crash, but no one was hurt.
