<b>DURHAM</b> — Durham police have identified the victim of a fatal weekend accident.

Officials say 45-year-old Lawrence Andrew Hyde Jr. of 916 Jones Circle was killed when he was hit by an Amtrak train on the tracks near the                                               intersection of Angier Avenue and Carter streets.

Police say the death was either accidental or criminal, but not a suicide attempt.
