DURHAM — Sports commentator Billy Packer has apologized to two Duke students who complained that he made sexist remarks to them.
Jen Feinberg and Sarah Bradley were checking credentials at Cameron Indoor Stadium for last month's game between Duke and St. John's when Feinberg did not recognize Packer and asked him for his press pass.
Packer refused and questioned why women were controlling who went in to a men's basketball game.
In his apology, which was e-mailed to the students, Packer wrote that he did not intend to offend Duke or its students with his remarks.
