DURHAM — One of the nation's most prestigious track events is coming to Durham this summer.
At a news conference Monday morning, Durham leaders announced that the East Coast Invitational will be held in Durham this July.
The ECI will bring more than 3,000 track and field athletes from across the U.S., Mexico, Bermuda and the Caribbean to the area.
TheDurham Striders Track Clubwill host the meet July 21-23 at Duke's Wallace Wade Stadium.
