Traffic cameras will not prevent accidents, but they will help catch lawbreakers and make the roads safer.

ASafelightcamera was installed at the intersection of Bragg Boulevard and Sycamore Dairy Road.

Drivers will receive a warning citation if their car is caught on tape running a red light. Starting on Wednesday, the city will begin mailing $50 citations.
