2 Shot in Durham Robbery Attempt

— Durham police do not expect to file charges against a nightclub owner involved in a deadly shooting early Sunday morning.

Police say the owner of the Caberet Royale on Angier Avenue fired two shots at three men he believed were trying to rob his nightclub around 5 a.m.

The owner's shots killed one suspect and hit another in the arm. A third suspect is in custody. He was unharmed. All three men are from Fayetteville.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
