POPE AFB — Hundreds of paratroopers were welcomed home to Pope Air Force Base Sunday morning.
About 330 paratroopers from the 3rd Battalion, 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment returned from Kosovo after a six month tour of duty.
The battalion went to Kosovo in September of 1999 to support the NATO-led peacekeeping effort.
The paratroopers were assigned to security missions in southeastern Kosovo.
