St. Augustine's College Makes Faculty Cuts

RALEIGH — St. Augustine's Collegein Raleigh is one of manyHistorically Black Collegesthat is fighting to survive.

Pink slips were handed out this week to as many as a quarter of the school's teachers.

Dianne Suber, president of St. Augustine's College, will not say exactly how many people will lose their jobs.

The private college has 90 faculty members. Low enrollment and budget problems are being blamed for the move. -->
