WAKE COUNTY — A murder investigation is under way after a body was discovered in northern Wake County Tuesday night.
Two fishermen found the badly decomposed body at Falls Lake.
The victim has been identified as Pearlie Ann Snipes, 37, of Durham. She was reported missing on December 20.
After an autopsy, the Wake County Sheriff's Office has determined Snipes died from several stab wounds.
