Raleigh Woman Cashes in by Winning Cyber Contest

e-mail print friendly

One local woman's trip into cyberspace has resulted in a collection of cash. A few clicks of the mouse led her on the information superhighway to riches.

Raleigh's own Beverly Bennett is proof that surfing the Web can pay off. She has been enteringiWon.com'sprize giveaway since October.

Every day she logs on and reads the articles, accumulating 100 points a day, and making her eligible for a daily drawing of $10,000.

Bennett says she was still a little skeptical about winning the contest even after receiving the call that she won.

"It wasn't until after I received those papers that I was really sure this thing is real," she says.

Bennett says she has her husband to thank, in part, for her good fortune. She says he encouraged her to keep at it every day.

The $10,000 prize could not have come at a better time.

"Today is his birthday, and I was announced as the daily winner for iWon.com on his birthday,"she says.

Bennett says she is planning to use the cash for a treadmill and some home improvements.
