DURHAM — A vote of the Durham County Board of Commissioners has given Durham County taxpayers until February 11 to list their property.
The original deadline was January 31, but because of the winter weather that hit two weeks ago, taxpayers were unable to get into the Durham County Tax Office to complete the required listing of property.
The Board of Commissioners voted to extend the period to give taxpayers the opportunity to list their property without penalty. Taxpayers that fail to list by February 11 will be subject to a 10 percent late-listing penalty.
