Posted Updated

CHAPEL HILL — A four-year-old girl, who nearly died on Tuesday after spending 17 hours in freezing weather, has left the hospital.

Hailey Bogue was released about 3 p.m. Friday from UNC Hospitals.

Hailey's heart stopped beating a short time after her rescue. Doctors revived her by using warm saline to raise her body temperature.

The little girl was in her mom's care when she wandered away on Monday.

Investigators have not decided if they will press charges against the mother. -->
