Two people are dead, and five are reported injured after a multi-car wreck in Wake County Friday night.(WRAL-TV5 News)

Investigators say Friday night's deadly three-car wreck in eastern Wake County involved alcohol.

Two people died and three were injured around 8 p.m. near the bridge at Highway 64 and Rolesville Road.

The victims killed in the accident were identified as Ricky Joe Cooley, 50, and Besse Mae Street, 67, both of Raleigh. Charlie Junior Street, 49, of Raleigh was taken to Wake Med with non-life-threatening injuries. Steven and Patricia Porter, of Zebulon, were treated and released Friday.

Officers say Street was driving in the wrong lane of traffic when his car crashed. One car ended up dangling on the guardrail of the bridge.

Charges are still pending.

Traffic was backed up on the road for more than two hours while the Highway Patrol cleared the scene. -->
