FAYETTEVILLE — Investigators say an electric blanket may have caused an early morning fire at a Fayetteville nursing home.
Firefighters were called out to the Loving Care nursing home on Stansfield Road around 5:30 Friday morning to fight the blaze, which they say started on the bed of one of the staff members.
The fire forced all seven residents out of the home and into the cold morning air.
No one was hurt in the fire.
The American Red Cross is paying for the residents to stay at a local hotel until the home is repaired.
