Claims of sexual harassment and racial discrimination have the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office under investigation.

Sheriff Earl "Moose" Butler says one of the people named in the formal complaint is Major Ray Davis, chief of the Detective division. Davis is currently on administrative leave with pay.

Sheriff Butler vows he will get to the bottom of the allegations.

"I'll deal with it. I am dealing with it," he says. "I'm doing the investigation. The proper action will be taken, whatever needs to be done considering the complaints."

A female lieutenant and another sheriff's office employee filed the complaint in December. They claim they were subjected to sexually explicit language and denied promotions because they are female.
