RALEIGH-DURHAM INTERNATIONAL — A computer glitch at the FAA's Washington Center caused dozens of flights in and out of Raleigh to be delayed or cancelled Thursday morning.
The computer problem has been fixed, but the effects may linger.
"We began to experience some delays and cancellations about mid-morning, somewhere around 10 a.m.," saidRDUspokesman Mike Blanton. "It looks as though when it's all said and done, about 30 to 40 flights in and out of RDU will have been impacted by the computer problem."
The FAA does not know what caused the computer problem, but they say it is not related to Y2K.
If you have a flight out of RDU tonight, or are expecting anyone to arrive, you might want to call ahead.
