Lawsuit Filed Against N.C. Attorney General

RALEIGH — N.C.Attorney GeneralMike Easley is facing a lawsuit. He is accused of misspending close to $1 million in public funds.

Chuck Fuller, director of North Carolina Citizens for a Sound Economy, claims Easley is using public service ads to promote his name and face to state voters.

Easley's spokesperson says the action is "a frivolous political lawsuit."

Fuller also wants Easley to pay back money already spent.

Thursday, a judge refused to pull the ads.
