FAYETTEVILLE — A Cumberland County man is accused of killing his father and a family friend.

Sheriff's investigators say Jamal Gurley, 21, set his home at 1112 Hodhat Drive on fire after a family argument Tuesday night.

The suspect's father, Bobby Gurley, 53, died in the fire.

Shakiya Taylor, a teenager from New Jersey, was able to escape the home, but investigators say the suspect stabbed her to death outside of the home.

Gurley is charged with two counts of murder and first-degree arson. He is being held in the Cumberland County jail without bond.
