I couldn't wait to try the food. Mr. Basnight and I may not share politics but he is a very nice man and I hear the food was very good. May they rebuild quickly!!

Stormy13 - whatever! You can say what you want but guess what, honey? It takes money to get into politics in the first place so think what you want. That's right... you ARE just jealous!

cbsconsult, where do you think the money came from to have this "family" business? Wake up and smell the roses! You don't keep up with politics very well.

My Mom says it completely burned down, it wasn't just gutted. She lives near there and it's her favorite place to eat. :-(

STORMY13? Have you no decency? What does politics have to do with the loss of this man's family restaurant? I had planned to eat there tomorrow as I travel to Hatteras Island on business. Oh well...

I've never nad the opportunity to eat there and had planned many times. I understand it was one of the best in NC. Glad no one was injured and I hope they are able to rebuild. Fire is a tough situation to overcome just like any disaster. personal experience.
