HENDERSON — Vance County authorities are looking for a killer after a man was found dead in his home Thursday afternoon.
Timothy Reed, 28, was found shot to death in his Toepleman Street house around 4 p.m. Deputies believe that he was robbed.
Witnesses say that they saw someone drive Reed's car away from his house early Thursday morning. Sheriff Thomas Breedlove is stumped.
"It's a relatively quiet neighborhood," he said. "We know of no reason why someone would want to kill him."
Investigators have no leads and no suspects.
