MOORE COUNTY — In the midst of expensive homes, plush golf courses and a polished image, Moore County residents are fighting an eyesore.
An area called "Lost City" is a kind of community junkyard. Clothes dryers, chairs, an old bicycle and old sofa are some of the obvious pieces of junk discarded in the illegal dumping ground.
People have been dumping their garbage there for more than 20 years. Volunteers hope to make a dent in the trash this Saturday, when they will spend the day cleaning the site.
The cleanup begins at 9 a.m.
