Shuttle To Dell Plant Remains Largely Unused

Posted Updated

FORSYTH COUNTY, N.C. — It sounded like a good idea at the time, but a shuttle created to take workers to Dell's new assembly plant is largely going to waste.

The plant opened in Forsyth County last fall. The $200,000-a-year shuttle is only drawing about 12 riders a day.

Some employees say that's because most city buses don't connect with the routes. The company plans to add up to 450 more workers by spring, which they hope will increase ridership.
