DURHAM, N.C. — A former Hillside High School student teacher pleaded guilty to kissing a 15-year-old student.
Stephen Laron Boyd, 24, entered the plea under a state law that allows him to avoid admitting he did the crime of taking indecent liberties with a student.
Boyd was placed on three years' probation and required to enroll in a program for sex offenders.
As a probation condition, Boyd cannot work in a school with minors.
