WAKE COUNTY, N.C. — The public had a chance to voice their concerns Thursday night about toxic chemicals pouring into a Wake County lake.
The Environmental Protection Agency took questions about the recently approved clean-up plan for the Ward Transformer site. PCB's have been leaking from the site into Lake Crabtree and other streams for more than a decade. The county and the city of Raleigh formed a task force last summer to determine the extent of contamination.
