RDU INTERNATIONAL — Construction begins Monday on a 6,150-space, seven-story parking deck at RDU International Airport.
The $140 million deck should be completed in 2004 or 2005. A new tollbooth and realignment of roadways will be needed.
Progress has a price, though: 800 spaces in the hourly and daily parking lots will be wiped out, as well several employee lots.
