TARBORO — It could be Wednesday before workers at a Tarboro plant get back on the job.
The roof at the Glenoit Corporation was still smoldering on Monday, two days after a fire raged through a quarter of the building.
Firefighters say the sprinkler system did a poor job keeping the fire from spreading through the factory.
There is no word yet on what caused the fire.
