RALEIGH — N.C. Statehelped local rock climbers take a step Saturday.
Climbers clung to the 55-foot indoor wall at the university. Saturday's event was the only day of the year that NCSU's wall is open to the public.
People of all ages and all abilities got lessons and a demonstration of safe technique. Organizers said the safety program helps to eliminate inherent risks in the sport.
