CARY — The Triangle building boom is getting a little help from above.
Massive new churches in Cary reflect an influx of new families looking for spiritual homes. The Colonial Baptist Church outgrew its old digs almost as soon as it opened.
The new building, located down the road, boasts 86,000 square feet and even includes a basketball court.
"It's kind of a mix of euphoria and contentment that it's meant to be," says building committee member Mike Hardwood.
Members hope to move into the new building by mid-April. The total cost of the project is $13 million.
