It might feel a lot like winter, but it is the time to start thinking about summer camp.

Hundreds of parents and children searched for the perfect camp Sunday at Cary Academy. Whatever activities your kids are interested in, there is probably a camp for it.

Don Wood of theAmerican Camping Associationsays parents should talk to their kids to make sure they find a good fit.

"Do they want to send their children to a co-ed or single sex camp? What type of activities are we looking for? Are we looking for general outdoor activities or specialty camps like tennis," he says.

Experts say you should choose a camp the way you choose a day care center. You will also want to know the ratio of adults to kids, and how camp counselors are trained.
