FAYETTEVILLE — A U.S. campaign that tries to stem the flow of drugs coming from Colombia is not sitting well with human rights activists in Fayetteville.

Members of Peace Plan Colombia, a N.C.-based network of solidarity groups, took to the streets Saturday. They say they are trying to promote peaceful solutions to the drug problem in Colombia.

The group wants the U.S. to stop training the Colombian army and to withdraw billions of dollars already committed to the program.
