RALEIGH — Call it a coloring party for a good cause! Agriculture Commissioner Jim Graham joined Ronald McDonald to unveil new soybean-based crayons that will be given out by the fast food restaurant.
The crayons will help raise money for Ronald McDonald Houses and give soybean growers a boost.
"It's the first innovation in crayons I believe since 1908. They're more vibrant, they work together You can do more than you can with a wax crayon."
The crayon is the only one made from biodegradable soybean oil.
For the record, North Carolina is number four in soy beans.
