CLEARWATER, FLA. — Some 700 pharmacists have joined a class-action lawsuit againstEckerd. They say the drug store chain illegally denied them overtime when they worked more than 40 hours a week.
The pharmacists, including some here in North Carolina, also claim that the increased workload has led to exhaustion, and even errors, in filling prescriptions.
Eckerd says its staffing guidelines always consider what's best for pharmacists and for patients.
