Cary, Morrisville, and Orange County Residents Face Water Restrictions

print friendly

If you have plans to water your lawn this weekend, take note. The towns ofCaryand Morrisville have instituted some mandatory water restrictions, whileOrange Countyhomeowners are also being asked to conserve.

In Cary and Morrisville, the restrictions work as follows. Anyone who has an odd-numbered address can water on odd-numbered days, like June 5. People who live in addresses that end with an even number are permitted to water only on even-numbered days, like June 6.

People who live in Orange County are being asked to conserve water as well. The Orange County Water and Sewer Authority wants people to limit their lawn watering, take short showers, and run only full dishwashers and washing machines. The Orange County restrictions are voluntary.
