Woman Shot In Mouth During Argument, Raleigh Police Say

RALEIGH, N.C. — A man arrested for shooting his girlfriend in the face early Sunday at a house on Merell Drive said the shooting was an accident.
Raleigh police arrested Charles Dudley and charged him with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to inflict serious injury.
Authorities said Dudley got into an argument with his girlfriend, Chanita Randolph, and allegedly shot her in the mouth when the gun he was waving went off.
Randolph was taken to WakeMed for observation and was listed in good condition.
