DURHAM — The North Carolina Department of Transportation (DOT)is giving the public a chance to speak out about a proposed widening project.
DOT wants to widen I-40 from I-85 in Orange County to Highway 147 in Durham County. They propose making it six lanes.
DOT officials will listen to comments today at a public forum.
It's being held in the Lowe's Grove Middle School Cafeteria on South Alston Street in Durham.
From 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. the public can get more information about the project and ask questions.
