EDGECOMBE COUNTY — An Edgecombe County jail escapee may be headed for Wake County.
Jailers say 21-year-old Taryell Powell escaped Sunday around 10 a.m.
Powell was awaiting trial on a list of charges including indecent liberties and assault with a deadly weapon.
Powell goes by several aliases: Charles Zollicoffer, T. J. Powell, Javon Powell and X-Tarye.
The Edgecombe County Sheriff's Department asks anyone who konws Powell or knows who hlped him to escape to call(252) 641-7911.
