SPRING HOPE — A Nash County police officer is recovering this morning after a chase landed him in the emergency room.
The accident happened about 1 a.m. Sunday on Green Road in Spring Hope.
The highway patrol says the officer was chasing a suspect when he ran his patrol car into a tree.
The officer, who hasn't been identified, was taken to Nash General Hospital.
There is no word on the suspect.
